How to Conduct Feedback Surveys in HubSpot

Written by Team | Apr 13, 2023 10:03:40 AM

Feedback surveys are essential because they help to gather insights, track trends, measure customer satisfaction, and learn about customer preferences. These further help improve the product and service quality, identify areas of improvement, develop new ideas, and strengthen the company-customer relationship.

Sending feedback surveys from your HubSpot website is easy.

Requirements: You should have a service hub professional tier to create and send custom surveys to customers.

Click on the Service option from the top bar in your HubSpot account

The Feedback Surveys page will open up. Click on Create Survey button

On the Next page, you will see the option to create Custom Survey. Select that and then click Next. You also get the option to work on pre-loaded surveys, such as customer satisfaction and loyalty surveys, among others.

On the next page, you are asked to choose how you want to send the surveys. You get two options; Email and Shareable Link.

Since we are writing the feedback surveys, which typically are for the existing customers whose emails we have, we will choose the email option. You can select a shareable link if you want to send that to the general public.

Here you see different options to add questions, answers, and options to your custom survey. You can easily rag the chosen options and drop them where you want.

Best Ways to Conduct Feedback Surveys

1. Determine the purpose: Before conducting a feedback survey, you must determine the purpose of the survey. Is it for improving customer satisfaction, employee engagement, or overall performance? Understanding the purpose will help you design the survey questions accordingly.

2. Keep it short and simple: The survey should be short and simple, with concise and well-structured questions that are easy to understand. Long surveys can lead to low response rates.

3. Focus on the right questions: The survey questions should focus on the aspects you want to measure. For example, to measure customer satisfaction, ask questions about the product/service quality, customer service, and overall experience.

4. Use various types of questions: Use different types of questions, such as multiple-choice, open-ended, and rating scales, depending on the feedback that you want to collect.

5. Ensure anonymity: Encourage respondents to provide honest and unbiased feedback. If the respondents feel that their feedback will be used against them, they might provide false feedback.

6. Test the survey: Test the survey with a small group to identify any issues or confusing questions before launching it.

7. Share the results: The survey results with the respondents will encourage them to participate in future surveys and show that you value their opinion.

8. Act on the feedback: Finally, act on the feedback received through the survey to improve the areas that need attention.
