Revenue Attribution for Your HubSpot Content

Written by Team | May 17, 2023 6:04:23 PM

Revenue attribution is assigning credit to various marketing activities or touchpoints that generate revenue for a company. In a HubSpot ecosystem, Revenue attribution aims to understand and quantify the impact of different marketing campaigns or content assets on the overall revenue generated by the business.

In a multi-channel marketing environment, customers often interact with a company through various content assets, such as website pages, landing pages, and emails, before purchasing. Revenue attribution helps determine which of these content assets or marketing efforts played a role in influencing the customer's decision to make a purchase. By doing so, HubSpot users can gain insights into the effectiveness of their marketing efforts, optimize their marketing strategies, and allocate their resources more efficiently.

Users with a Marketing Hub Enterprise subscription can analyze how much closed-won revenue can be attributed to a specific page, blog post, or marketing email.

In your HubSpot account, navigate to your website pages, landing pages, or marketing email. Click the name of the website page, landing page, or email, whichever you have chosen. Then, under the performance tab, you will see a section dedicated to viewing the Revenue Attribution. You see the ''Attributed Revenue'', ''Deals Influenced'', and ''Contacts Influenced.'' If you hover over any of these options, you can see the details of these.

Attributed Revenue: This refers to the revenue generated from closed-won deals that can be directly attributed to interactions with the content (the website page, landing page, or email). Interactions include page views, form submissions, clicks on calls-to-action (CTAs), and clicks on marketing emails.

You can hover over the revenue amount and click "Quick view" for a detailed breakdown of the contacts and deals influenced. We offer information on different revenue attribution models if you'd like to learn more.

Deals Influenced: This indicates the number of closed-won deals influenced by the content. Hover over the number of deals and click "Quick view" to access a detailed breakdown of the deals.

Contacts Influenced: This refers to the number of contacts associated with closed-won deals interacting with the content. Hover over the number of contacts and click "Quick view" to access a detailed breakdown of the contacts.

This is how you can analyze attribution for your HubSpot content and work to improve the revenue of your business.
