Deleting call recordings or any data piece from Your HubSpot CRM usually happens due to three primary reasons:

1. Compliance: Agencies may have to comply with local, state, or federal regulations regarding call recording retention. Once the retention period is over, companies may delete call recordings to stay compliant.

2. Privacy: Certain recorded conversations may contain sensitive or personal information, such as credit card details or healthcare information. In such cases, companies may delete the recordings to protect the privacy of their customers.

3. Cleanup: In some cases, companies may delete recordings to keep their CRM clean and organized, removing outdated, irrelevant, or unwanted records.

How to Delete Call Recordings from HubSpot

HubSpot agencies regularly do cold calling from their HubSpot account or have set up their CRM to receive calls. They save their call recordings in the CRM, which pile up with time.

When that happens, you won’t remember what was in that call because many calls will be piled up. You must listen to each call recording again to know which one to keep and which to delete. You can do that manually. This is the only way to delete the call recordings.

HubSpot users cannot set up automatic deletion of call recordings. There’s no workflow designed to delete activity records by default.
